UFO invasion of Worker's Cultural Palace in China
On the 30th of October the famous Worker's Cultural Palace in the city of Kunming in China will host a most atypical event: ‘The Astronomy and UFO expo: Mysteries of nature and life’. A forum enticingly labelled: ‘2009, year of astronomy……and extraterrestrial life?’ will also be held where the public will have the chance to pick the brains of leading lights in UFO and ET research.
Kunming UFO Research Association’s honorary chairman, Professor Yifang Zhang of The Department of Physics, Yunnan University, will be one of the chief organisers. Hundreds of photos as well as film collected by the research association over the years will be on display for the public to scrutinise.
Also present and participating at the forum will be Wang Sichao of the Purple Mountain Astronomical Observatory. Wang Sichao is regarded as one of Chinese leading authorities on UFO sightings. Purple Mountain Astronomical Observatory scientists announced recently that they observed a UFO during the July solar eclipse. This event received international attention.
China is regarded as generally having a more progressive attitude to Ufology than other major nations.
