UFO disclosure: Where do we go from here?
Opinion piece by Lawrence Vincent drlvb@aol.com
It’s difficult to imagine that our planet was once a swirling ball of dust, gasses, and debris that coalesced into the beauty and wonder that it is today. Now, after roughly 4.6 billion years in existence, it has finally succumbed to our civilization’s environmental baggage of disasters. Perhaps it is from this that we are of great interest to other life forms.
How we handle these disasters as indigenous life forms could be of considerable interest to these unknown spectators. If we consider the great number of UFO sightings that have occurred over the past few years, humans could be the next “coming attraction” to a cosmic theatre in our galactic neighborhood. Surely, only a few people can appreciate the scope of these UFO sightings around the globe in every facet of our biosphere (land, sea, and air). Additionally, each sighting appears more spectacular than the previous (Phoenix Arizona UFO Sightings, 1997, 2009). On the other hand, if our time on earth is quickly approaching a global catastrophe, it’s quite possible that extraterrestrials are trying to raise our level of consciousness so they might be able to offer assistance to us. Naturally, no sane alien would dare set foot on Earth with the looming prospect of being dissected … in the name of “science” of course. However, if this is true, then it would confirm speculative theories that we are not a unique life form in this universe, yet still worth saving as an emergent sentient species.
Another interesting aspect to consider is the Apollo moon missions. It has been made quite clear (via astronaut transcripts based on their exploits on the moon) that they (aliens) have been watching us for quite some time, perhaps thousands of years. The point I’m trying to make is that if aliens wanted to do us harm, it should have happened when we stumbled onto them inside he craters of the moon (Billy Booth, UFOs on the moon, Parts 1-4). But from a broader perspective, we could have been enslaved or “eaten” thousands, if not millions of years ago. Therefore, the likelihood of any aggression towards our civilization today by an alien race is almost negligible. However, a more critical concern, before we can even begin to foster such a belief about not fearing harm from aliens, would be to get our governments to admit to their existence.
Many believe that governments around the world are closely involved in the cover-up of UFOs (Apollo 14 astronaut Edgar Mitchell claims ETs have made contact, DailyMail, July 24, 2008). This especially holds true for the United States, which now appears to be the major roadblock preventing every man, woman, and child on earth from receiving vital information regarding the existence of UFOs. Additionally, many believers have also reasoned, and rightly so, that certain conditions need to be established with the general public before alien contact could be feasible. Some have even argued that a world government might be a prerequisite for this initial contact. Perchance, this is why UFOs around the world have been seen near ancient civilization areas, representing a time when the world was not so complicated with only a handful of individuals ruling the entire planet. From this standpoint, I suggest that the public has everything to gain from an alien visitation, in view of the energy crisis and other pressing concerns. So, the real question is … where do we go from here?
In this author’s humble opinion, as I have alluded to earlier, governments need to come clean with the public and begin a truthful dialogue about alien visitation on earth. Admit to the public what they have already suspected, or quite frankly knew from the beginning about the existence of extraterrestrials. It’s time to stop hiding behind the veil of mass public hysteria as the causative agent for decades of secrecy. After all, how bad could it be from the public being subjected to Hollywood’s alien invasion movies that took advantage of our imaginations for decades regarding life on other worlds? Besides, wouldn’t it be better to have a controlled public reaction now, than to have public hysteria later when the real thing happens on the White House lawn? So when it does happen, we will all need to be calm and lucid. Openly, putting our fears about alien life forms on the table could create a forum that gets the world dialoging about its inevitability. The internet has already taken the first steps towards getting the word out and making the public aware of UFO sightings and the possibility of alien contact rather than using the traditional channels (which should put Men in Black out of business). We must take advantage of this powerful outlet to construct a global plan of action. Perhaps we should explore the possibility of a mock rehearsal using the Internet to simulate an announced landing in a high profile location. Designated government officials from around the world would then coordinate the planet’s media resources in an effort to communicate a factual message to the public. This information would be disseminated in a timely manner to bring about rapid global awareness and demonstrate to the beings from another world that we are finally “ready” to receive them.
His current novel takes place one hundred thousand years ago in Africa, when Earth was visited by a benevolent race known as the Phalecians, in a science fiction novel called DNA3
